I haven’t been a client of Carl’s for too long, it was in the middle of last year that I got in touch with Carl.

I needed pension advice. I had some pension pots in quite a few different places, and I wanted to know my options and plan for the future.

I had seen Fletcher Associates’ advert quite a few times in the local magazine and I’d heard on the grapevine that people had recommended him. I knew he was an independent financial adviser, which iswhat I wanted. He was local and I could pop into his office and get in touch quite easily.

I came to see an independent financial adviser because I know that from experience, they are the best people to come and see because they are independent. I wanted somebody that would give me my options, in layman’s terms. He did, I understood what he told me, he was really good if I didn’t understand anything, I’d just asked him, and he explained it again. He didn’t mind how many times I asked him. He explained things to me, which is great when you haven’t got a clue about pensions or finance or anything like that.

He gave me my options, so I knew how much was in my pension pots, and I took early retirement.

I know my options with my pension. I can take a lump sum if I wanted, I can get in touch with Carl anytime, I can review my options anytime. So yeah, I’m really pleased at the moment. I didn’t know how much my pensions were worth.

I didn’t know what to do with my pensions, I didn’t know the options for drawing my pension. I probably still would have carried on working for another couple of years if I hadn’t come to see Carl.

At the moment, I’m just enjoying being at home. Seeing my grandchildren a bit more, seeing my son and my daughter a bit more. Just enjoying having the freedom to do what I want on a daily basis without having to get up to go to work.

I definitely would recommend people in my position to speak out. In fact, I did, a few people in work thatare roughly around my age had the same sort of problem as me and I suggested they came to see Carl.

I’ve been able to get in touch with him when I’ve wanted to. I’ve emailed him and he’s emailed me straight back, which has been sometimes on a weekend or an evening. He’s just very approachable. And I know I can come to see him, practically anytime I want.
